Registration Now Open: STEAM Cohort Begins This Fall

Bring curiosity, creativity and discovery to your afterschool program through engaging STEAM experiences.

Prime Time Palm Beach County is now accepting registrations for its Fall STEAM Cohort, a six-part professional learning series designed for afterschool professionals who want to confidently lead hands-on activities that connect science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) to the real world. No prior STEAM experience is required. Upon successful completion of this training series, follow up assignment(s), and modeling sessions the participant can earn up to 18 clock hours (1.8 CEUs) of training and earn up to $180 as a stipend.

STEAM Training Series Includes:

  • Six interactive hands-on training sessions One STEAM observation—in-person and on-site with your youth
  • One coaching/feedback session
  • Six artifacts/homework assignments

Participants will explore practical, easy-to-implement lessons while strengthening their facilitation skills and learning how STEAM activities can inspire problem-solving, teamwork, creativity and career exploration among youth. Throughout the series, practitioners will gain the confidence and tools needed to create meaningful learning experiences that spark curiosity long after the school day ends.

By the end of the cohort, participants will leave with ready-to-use activities, valuable resources and a step-by-step plan to build a fun, engaging and sustainable STEAM program at their site.
