Prime Time Palm Beach County is excited to announce that South Olive Community Center Afterschool Program is the winner of our 2026 Lights On Afterschool Contest! We’re thrilled to celebrate this outstanding afterschool program and bring an extra spark to its celebration.
Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool and summer learning programs and the important role they play in the lives of children, families and their communities. Each year, this celebration shines a light on the incredible work happening in afterschool programs across the country and highlights the opportunities these programs provide for young people to learn, grow and thrive.

To celebrate this special occasion, Prime Time Palm Beach County invited local afterschool programs to submit their plans for a chance to receive extra support in bringing their Lights On Afterschool celebration to life on October 22, 2026.
South Olive Community Center rose to the occasion, earning this exciting opportunity to make its celebration even more memorable!

Through this contest, Prime Time is proud to recognize the creativity, dedication and enthusiasm of the afterschool professionals who work every day to create engaging experiences for children and youth. Celebrations like Lights On Afterschool remind us that afterschool programs are more than just a place to go after the school day ends. They are spaces where young people build friendships, explore their interests, discover new talents and feel a sense of belonging.
We look forward to seeing South Olive Community Center light up on October 22 as we celebrate the power of afterschool programs and the positive difference they make throughout Palm Beach County. Are you keeping the lights on this year? Join us on October 29 at Clematis by Fright to join Prime Time in this nationwide celebration.
