Prime Time Palm Beach County
Palm Beach County, Fla. — Prime Time Palm Beach County is proud to join communities across the nation in celebrating National Summer Learning Week, recognizing the critical role that high-quality summer learning programs play in supporting the growth, development and success of children and youth.
Observed annually, National Summer Learning Week highlights the importance of continued learning beyond the traditional school year and celebrates the summer camp professionals and community partners who make enriching summer experiences possible.
Throughout Palm Beach County, summer learning programs immerse children and youth in hands-on experiences that spark curiosity, encourage creativity and make learning come alive. Through interactive projects, real-world exploration and engaging activities, young people build academic, well-being and life skills while forming meaningful relationships with caring adults. These enriching experiences help prevent summer learning loss, boost confidence and support long-term academic and personal success.
Prime Time Palm Beach County works year-round to support afterschool and summer programs by providing hands-on learning opportunities, training, coaching, resources and quality improvement support to afterschool and summer camp professionals, impacting more than 30,000 children every year. These opportunities are provided at no cost through the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County (CSC), a dedicated children’s funding agency supported by local property taxes. During National Summer Learning Week, Prime Time recognizes the dedication of program staff who continue to deliver safe, engaging and enriching experiences for children and youth throughout the summer months.
“Summer learning is about so much more than keeping children engaged while school is out,” said Katie Ackner, director of communications at Prime Time Palm Beach County. “It sparks curiosity, builds confidence and helps young people discover their strengths. We are proud to partner with summer programs and youth development professionals across Palm Beach County, providing the training, coaching and resources they need to continuously raise the bar and deliver high-quality experiences that help every child thrive.”
Prime Time encourages families, schools and community organizations to continue investing in high-quality afterschool summer learning opportunities that keep youth engaged and inspired year-round.
