Kicking Off the 2020-2021 School Year with SEL
During the Week of July 27, 2020, school day staff from the PSELI schools participated in “Year 4 Summer Professional Development Series.” More than 300 teachers and instructional staff deepened their learning in best practices for classroom/campus climate and culture, explicit SEL curriculum, and integration and implementation of SEL in the classroom. More than 40 non-instructional staff from the PSELI schools took part in learning about campus-wide SEL and how SEL applies to their role within the school. These hour-long virtual sessions brought each of the seven schools together to kick-off the school year with SEL!
