Young Singers of the Palm Beaches Connects Youth through New Virtual Learning Module
Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, a Prime Time expanded learning opportunity, recently visited North Grade Elementary Afterschool Program virtually with Melanie Seewaldt de Langhoff. Youth in the choir are engaged in multimedia education of international traditions, as well as voice and percussion study.
Youth are connected (pictured above) for a “live” virtual learning module “Holidays Around the World.”
This year songs they have practiced include: “They’re Celebrating Next Door,” “Oshogatsu”- a Japanese New Year’s song, and “La pinata”- a Spanish song celebrating the traditions of Mexico.
“What a joy to meet virtually with your friends and do what you love, MUSIC,” said Melanie Seewaldt, Conductor at Young Singers of the Palm Beaches.
Young Singers of the Palm Beaches and Prime Time Palm Beach County salutes our afterschool practitioners for their extra time, long hours and creativity to make a difference in the lives of children so that they may grow up healthy, safe and strong.
Prime Time Young Singers Choirs are made possible with support from Prime Time Palm Beach County, Inc., which receives significant funding for its overall operations from the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County.
