Weikart SEL Methods Training

As part of the beta test of SEL Methods trainings, OST practitioners and community partners had the opportunity to attend Foundations and Social Awareness – Cognitive Development, where they were able to connect cognitive functions such as problem solving and taking initiative to SEL development. They also learned to apply the SNIC (strengths, needs, interests, constraints) model as a tool for identifying and improving cognitive abilities in themselves and with youth.
