As more and more families in Palm Beach County search for afterschool care for their children and find options limited a local non-profit, Prime Time Palm Beach County, continues their mission of creating a high-quality afterschool environment designed to enrich the lives of the youth in the program as well as that of the out-of-school time (OST) professionals.

Suzette L. Harvey has led Prime Time since 2006 and continued our goal to help children and youth succeed by strengthening and expanding quality in the out-of-school time field. Harvey has worked in philanthropy and non-profits for over three decades and has been recognized nationally for her contributions to the OST field. Most recently she has joined the Board of Director's at Florida After School Inc., where she will serve with other leaders in her field from across the state and across the nation.

Florida After School Inc. was founded in 2005 with support from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and is dedicated to advocating for those in the OST field and giving resources to programs and providers to enhance the lives of the children and youth they serve through quality out-of-school time. Florida After School Inc. is also a part of a network organized by the National Afterschool Association (NAA) that exists in all 50 states that is designed to create “a diverse group of organizations and champions to build public will and systems for afterschool and summer learning.”

Harvey will also present at the Florida After School Annual Conference this October as a member of the Leadership Panel. She is joined by Joseph Davis, the Executive Director of the Florida Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs, Christian Minor, the Executive Director of the Florida Juvenile Justice Association and Lynne Wilcox, the President/CEO of the Florida State Alliance of YMCAs. She and the other members of the leadership panel will host the closing session of this year’s conference titled, Shaping the Future of Out-of-School Time in Florida.
