Prime Time Celebrates Social and Emotional Learning in Out-of-School Time
Prime Time Palm Beach County is celebrating International SEL Day on Friday, March 11, 2022, and we want you to join us!
This year’s theme, Finding Common Ground, Pursuing Common Good, will allow OST professionals to showcase the SEL skills they use to help in building relationships while supporting our community. SEL Day is an opportunity to collectively spread the word about the importance and impact of social emotional learning (SEL). In 2017, Prime Time and the School District of Palm Beach County teamed up to help children develop social and emotional skills from morning to night.
In 2021, Prime Time assessed staff observational ratings for more than 600 youth attending out-of-school time (OST) programs in Palm Beach County and found that when OST professionals received intensive training and coaching equipping them to foster youth SEL, youth made significant gains in SEL skills.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Changes Lives
Studies show that SEL improves well-being and academic outcomes, builds a positive school climate and provides children with the necessary skills to excel in today’s workforce. Yet many members of our communities don’t know about SEL yet. Help us spread the word!
Spread the Word about the Importance and Impact of SEL
Working together, we can raise awareness for SEL, bring on new SEL stakeholders, create artifacts that demonstrate SEL in action, share SEL best practices… and more! #SELday
