Youth are at the center of high-quality afterschool and summer programs. Their voices are POWERFUL and they must be heard. Share their impactful stories and messages during Youth Voice Week this Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28, 2025.
Join the Afterschool Alliance in elevating youth voices and the role of afterschool and summer programs in providing youth with opportunities to lead and grow. Post youth voice messages on social media using #YouthVoiceWeek. Prime Time has gathered a few stories from youth participating in the QIS System, ELO programs, STEAM activities, the CEP initiative and more and will be sharing them throughout the week. Prime Time will also be sharing your youth voice messages on our own platforms so make sure to tag us!
With federal budget cuts looming, it's particularly important to connect with our representatives in Congress and show them the power of afterschool. In less than two minutes you can share with your representatives why it's so important to continue to fund these programs our youth rely on using this link. That federal support is essential to help the nearly 25 million children and youth who would be in an afterschool program if one were available.
Get featured on Afterschool Alliance's site and share your story nationwide! Each day of Youth Voice Week, the Alliance will publish a guest blog submitted by a program or youth.
