Prime Time’s work is embedded in a wide body of research demonstrating that quality out-of-school time (OST) programs lead to substantial academic, social, and emotional benefits for youth.
The benefits for children and youth in high quality OST program include:

Prime Time strives to provide children and youth with a wide range of hands-on learning experiences. In partnership with local content expert organizations, Prime Time makes available expanded learning opportunities (ELOs) to eligible afterschool and summer programs. In 2020-2021, Prime Time offered 136,829 learning experiences that impacted 50,001 youth between October 2020 and September 2021.

Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County – Stories and STEM
Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County designed Stories and STEM to excite children and youth about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), expand upon prior knowledge, promote curiosity, and help children learn essential cooperation and teamwork skills. Children learn that STEM involves more than just collecting facts; it is a way of thinking and exploring the world. Stories and STEM is where literacy and science meet! Each session, children engage in fun, hands-on activities related to a book and are introduced to creative minds, both famous and lesser-known, who can serve as role models to interest children in STEM careers.
Stories and STEM is provided in 1-hour sessions to children in kindergarten through fifth grade. A site can request up to 6 different sessions each semester or in the summer!

Loggerhead Marinelife Center – Diving into Ocean Connections
Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s out-of-school time programs focus on promoting the conservation of ocean ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles. These programs will expose children to the wonderful underwater world as they discover Florida’s marine biodiversity through interactive lessons and games. From stepping into the scrubs of an Aquatic Veterinarian to digitally diving on Florida’s Coral Reef, the Diving into Ocean Connections lessons support STEAM learning through marine life and fun.

Caring for the Whole Child
Program offering addresses mind and body health, explores mindfulness, emotional awareness and emotion management for overall wellness; physical activity (such as running, non-competitive sports, etc.), healthy eating habits or obesity prevention and more.
Digital Vibez – Fitness Jamz
Fitness Jamz is designed to combat childhood obesity by empowering youth and providing participants with sessions containing the resources to do so. Participants will collaborate with other youth on a dance fitness routine using diverse songs and beats to increase physical activity in a fun way. Participants will also learn a variety of physical activities and games they can take back home to their family and friends and be encouraged to work together with other youth in performing their routine at the end of the last session for a culminating family night.

FLIPANY (Florida Introduces Physical Activity and Nutrition to Youth, Inc.)
Cooking Matters – FLIPANY’s Cooking Matters teaches nutrition education, physical activity, and social-emotional learning through hands-on cooking lessons. Youth learn through preparing and trying new foods, the flexibility and creativity that is useful in expanding their diet to include healthy options.
Soccer for Success – FLIPANY’s Soccer for Success addresses nutrition education, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. This national curriculum is proven effective in reducing the risks associated with childhood obesity and raising indicators of positive youth development.

Florida Fishing Academy – Angling for a Healthy Future
Through Angling for a Healthy Future, children and youth learn basic fishing skills, kayaking, snorkeling, water safety, environmental awareness, problem-solving and other life skills through the Florida Fishing Academy’s expanded learning opportunity. Fishing and other water-based activities can serve as a means for self-improvement, and social and emotional development.

Girls on the Run Palm Beach – Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run teaches girls life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games. Listed among the “Top 25 SEL” programs in a Harvard University study funded by The Wallace Foundation, the goal of Girls on the Run is to unleash confidence through accomplishment, while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness in mind, body and spirit. Girls do not have to be runners to participate; they just need a willingness to try their best.

The Literacy Coalition’s Read! Lead! Succeed! Program empowers children through reading, discussion and literacy-based activities. Lessons with accompanying literacy kits engage youth in making use of the written word and spoken language to enhance self and social-awareness while improving emotion management skills. Through literacy-based and guided social and emotional hands-on activities and experiences, youth become more caring individuals with increased concern and respect for themselves and others.

The Arc of Palm Beach County – Community Inclusion Program
The Arc’s Community Inclusion program offers specialized training, instruction and support to out-of-school time practitioners to facilitate the inclusion of youth into their programs. The goal of the Community Inclusion program is to ensure that OST programs in Palm Beach County are accessible to children with developmental disabilities. The trainings, observations, youth-specific coaching sessions and outreach opportunities are ongoing and provided as needed.

Discovering Arts and Culture
Program offering gives children and youth the opportunity to discover arts and culture: dance, music, theater, visual arts, spoken word poetry, digital arts, writing, etc., opening up possibilities of future interest or career pathways, with hopes to enrich their lives into adulthood.
Divinity Dance
This offering is a creative, fun, energetic, collaborative, and self-reflective program for children attending OST programs. The ELO is a dance class regardless of past arts or dance experience. Available variations of choreography can include hip hop, step, jazz, ballet, interpretive, improvisation, musical theater, or a combination of genres. The seven-session ELO will follow a scope and sequence of choreography that also integrates social emotional learning (SEL). Each class will build upon the movement of the previous one and culminate into a cohesive mini routine.

KIdzArt Palm Beach – KidzArt
Youth ages 5-12 have fun, learn to draw, and experience creativity building exercises. KidsArt mobile program is complemented with new and varied art mediums, and our unique multi-cultural, drawing-based curriculum. Its techniques remove the fear of failure that can block creative expression. As a result, children produce artwork beyond their imagination. KidzArt Palm Beach found that the resulting experience of success, instead of fear of failure, carries over into all areas of life.
Instructors lead children through an original, 60-minute drawing-based art project each week. The goals of each class: 1) learn to draw somethingthing new, 2) learn to use a new artist medium, 3) experience a confidence boosting lesson, 4) enhance their creativity, and 5) implement essential problem-solving skills. The best part? Every child leaves each class with a complete, original masterpiece!

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches – Prime Time Young Singers Choirs
The Prime Time Young Singers Choirs provides children and youth an opportunity to explore various aspects of musicianship, world cultures, emotions, linguistics and teamwork. Each session includes activities that develop a natural singing body alignment, freedom of breath, development of intonation, ease of personal vocal freedom using music from various periods and genres. Benefits of singing include the enhancement of social, mental and emotional health of participating children and youth. Studies show that singing increases self-confidence and self-esteem, and fosters leadership skills and ultimately develops good citizens.

Youth Speak Out International – Today’s Digital Citizens
Today’s Digital Citizens is an innovative, direct service S.T.E.A.M program that helps young people build their media literacy and interpersonal communication skills. Youth become critical thinkers of cultural media messages and improve their abilities to self-regulate the time they spend communicating using on-screen technology. This ELO promotes social and emotional learning as youth practice the skills of emotional management, empathy, teamwork, responsibility, problem solving. and taking initiative. Participants work as a team as they produce Public Service Announcement (PSA) videos that educate the community how the overuse of on-screen technology is affecting face-to-face communication. We envision a world in which empowered youth with strong human connections live with purpose to build a vibrant global community.

Cox Science Center and Aquarium – Passport to STEM
The Passport to STEM program will introduce fundamental STEM concepts in subjects like chemistry, biology, engineering, robotics, computer science and programming, and physical science. Professional STEM educators will present impressive demonstrations featuring liquid nitrogen, electricity, and chemical reactions along with interactive experiences with fossils and biological specimens. These demonstrations will tie-in to hands-on activities that will allow for further exploration of the introduced concepts. Hands-on activities will include but may not be limited to slime making, programming robots, examining fossils, identifying different kinds of shark teeth, experimenting with electrical circuits, and other activities that will allow youth to take something with them to extend the learning experience into the home.

HADO is the first-ever physical e-sport in the world using Augmented Reality (AR) technology. HADO players wear wireless head-mounted displays and wrist motion sensors, using only gestures to unleash super-powered energy balls on their opponents. Opponents must dodge these energy balls and wield shields to protect their four life petals. It is a 3v3 battle for 80 seconds.

Leadership and Career Pathways
Program offers skill development needed to succeed in school and in life, and real world application, including communication, social skills, public speaking, basic financial and household management, etc., equipping children with foundational skills needed to be successful in life. Program offerings expose youth to career options for the future, including entrepreneurship.
Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) – Summer Youth BizCamp ChallengeNFTE will engage and provide 40 youth with the opportunity to turn their hobbies, interests, and dreams into viable businesses and opportunities for the future. Forty under-resourced youths, entering grades 4-7, will be trained how to think and act like entrepreneurs over approximately 80 instructional hours and will gain belief in a positive future and the 21st Century skills needed to rise above their personal circumstances and take control of their futures. During the Youth Entrepreneurship Summer Challenge, students will emerge with an understanding of their personal entrepreneurial mindset and an incentive to improve upon developing their skillsets.
