25 Years of Impact and a Changing Landscape: New Reports to Release May 8

Prime Time Palm Beach County will release two important publications on May 8, honoring 25 years of impact while examining what lies ahead.

Together, these releases offer both a timely look at today’s challenges and a compelling case for continued investment in quality afterschool systems.

A REFLECTION OF OUR HISTORY

Prime Time's 25 years of Impact and Long-Term Returns on Investment demonstrates through a collection of 20 plus years of internal research how sustained intermediary support strengthens program quality, builds workforce capacity, and drives meaningful outcomes for children, families and communities. It reinforces that high-quality afterschool programs are not only essential services, but also smart, long-term investments in community prosperity.

AND A VISION FOR OUR FUTURE

The New Ecology of Afterschool, Emerging Pressures on Workforce, Children and Developmental Relationships was written from a census study of afterschool directors in Palm Beach County that explores how programs have evolved since the COVID-19 pandemic, identifying a “new ecology” marked by workforce instability, rising youth stress and increasing family pressures. The findings underscore the growing importance, and challenge of maintaining strong, supportive relationships within programs.
